Mini Goals

Empowering Young Ice Hockey Enthusiasts

Chelmsford Ice Hockey Academy at Riverside Leisure Centre, supported by Active Essex, has significantly enhanced its training environment for young ice hockey players through the Mini Goals – LTP U10 project.

This initiative addresses the unique challenges of young players facing adult-sized equipment, providing age-appropriate training spaces and custom-built goals to help improve skill development and confidence.

This initiative has created a more suitable and engaging environment for the youngest ice hockey players, ensuring they can develop their skills in a more realistic and manageable setting. The project has significantly improved the quality of training and enjoyment for children, making the sport more accessible and less daunting for beginners.
